JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto arrived at the Grupo 8 Alar Air Force Military Base, Jorge Chavez International Airport, Lima, Peru, on Wednesday, November 13 2024, at around 22.35 local time. The Head of State's arrival was welcomed by Peruvian Minister of Agriculture Angel Manuel Manero Campos, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia in Lima Ricky Suhendar, Commander General del Ala Aérea N° 2 Major General Julio Cesar Gutiérrez Gonzales, and Deputy Head of State Protocol for Peru Minestera Sandra Pinto La Fuente.
Apart from that, there was also a guard of honor who also welcomed and accompanied President Prabowo to the vehicle. From the airport, President Prabowo and his entourage went straight to the hotel where they spent the night while in Peru.
During this visit, President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to make a state visit as well as attend the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) High Level Conference (Summit). Apart from that, President Prabowo will also hold bilateral meetings with a number of leaders of friendly countries on the sidelines of his visit.
Previously, President Prabowo departed from Andrews Military Base, Washington DC, United States, at around 14.00 local time. While in Washington DC, President Prabowo held a number of meetings, including with US President Joe Biden at the White House.
Also accompanying President Prabowo on this visit were Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. Meanwhile, welcoming President Prabowo's arrival at the hotel where he was staying the night were Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, and Special Advisor to the President for National Defense Dudung Abdurachman.
